R&R Cigar Ventures Inc. Shipping Policy

The experience of a fine cigar extends far beyond the final draw. It is about the connections made, the stories shared, and the anticipation of opening a fresh box. We want the journey from our humidor to your hands to be as smooth and rewarding as the blend you choose. As we navigate the logistics of getting our products to you, we keep transparency and community at the heart of our process.

General Policies

  • Age Restriction: R&R Cigar Ventures Inc. does not sell tobacco products to anyone under the age of 21. All purchasers must verify they are 21 or older. Compliance with local, state, and federal laws is a cornerstone of our commitment to the community.
  • State Restrictions: We are unable to ship any products to Utah or Hawaii due to state regulations. California, South Dakota, Delaware.  We do not ship flavored cigars to the follow states with flavored tobacco bans including Maine, Massachusetts and District of Colombia.
  • Order Processing & Delivery Times: Orders are typically processed within 48 hours. Shipping delivery times are estimates and are not guaranteed unless otherwise noted—our aim is always to be prompt and communicative, but sometimes even the best plans meet unpredictable headwinds.
  • Oversized Items: Some items—like a prized humidor or collectible chest—may require additional shipping charges and may have special requirements for delivery. Any such charges will be presented at checkout, before your order is completed.
  • PO Boxes, APO/FPO, and US Territories: Orders to these destinations will ship via USPS and may require extra delivery time. Expedited or upgrade options are not available in these cases.
  • Adult Signature: Shipping to states where an adult signature is required may result in additional fees, as required by law or courier policy.

Domestic Shipping

We honor your time by processing all orders within 48 hours. Your shipping charges are calculated directly at checkout based on the weight of your chosen cigars and your location. We use this specific method to provide you with the most accurate pricing and the most efficient path to your door.

To celebrate our shared passion, we offer free shipping on all orders over $75 within the United States. Free shipping will be shipped via UPS and delivered via USPS—this path may be slower than other premium methods available.

Shipping Preferences & Delivery Methods

  • Free Shipping: 8-12 business days, delivered via UPS/USPS.
  • UPS Ground: 1-5 business days, $10.99.

Delivery times are based on the shipping order cutoff (in-stock orders received by 3PM EST ship same day) and subject to payment approval. All delivery times, except Saturday, are business days (Monday – Friday) and exclude holidays.

Some items may exclude you from selecting certain shipping options, based on item category or shipping constraints.

  • Small Cigar Shipping: Delivered via UPS Economy; delivery address must be able to receive packages from USPS.
  • Hazmat Items (e.g., Butane): Expedited services not available; shipped via USPS Parcel Post.

International Shipping

The love for a great smoke knows no borders, and we are proud to offer worldwide shipping. Your international shipping charges will be calculated and clearly displayed during checkout, allowing you to see the exact cost of your journey before it begins.

  • Standard: 6-10 business days.
  • Economy: Varies by destination.

Backordered & Oversized Items

We know the anticipation is part of the ritual. When an item is backordered, you may place a tentative order; your card will not be charged until the product ships. Oversized items ship via ground or freight, and extra charges or delivery limitations may apply.

Sales & Excise Taxes

  • R&R Cigar Ventures Inc. is required to collect and remit sales tax in the following states. If your order ships outside these states, you are responsible for applicable use taxes.
    States Where Sales Tax is Collected:
    Alabama, Arkansas, Arizona, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Nebraska, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, Nevada, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Vermont, Virginia, Washington, Washington DC, West Virginia, Wisconsin, Wyoming
  • Excise Taxes: Some states now impose additional excise taxes on tobacco purchased online, which R&R Cigar will collect and remit where required. These taxes are in addition to any sales taxes. Examples include, but are not limited to:

    • Colorado: Effective July 1, 2024, a 56% excise tax (increasing to 62% over time) on the “manufacturer’s list price.”
    • Indiana: Effective July 1, 2025, 30% excise tax (max $3/premium cigar).
    • Maine: As of January 5, 2026, 75% of cost price (previously 43%).
    • Maryland: 15% excise on premium cigars, 30% on pipe tobacco.
    • Michigan: 32% excise, max $0.50/cigar.
    • Minnesota: $0.50 retail delivery fee for orders over $100.
    • Nevada: 30% excise, max $0.50/premium cigar (effective January 1, 2026).
    • North Carolina: 12.8% excise, max $0.30/cigar for cigars; 12.8% for pipe tobacco.
    • Ohio: 17% excise, max $0.65/premium cigar; 37% on filtered/tipped cigars (effective July 1, 2025).
    • Pennsylvania: Excise tax on “small cigars.” Pipe tobacco: $0.55/oz, $0.30/oz courtesy charge.
    • South Dakota: 32% excise.
    • Virginia: 20% excise on cigars, 10% on pipe tobacco.
    • Wisconsin: 71% excise, max $0.50/cigar (starting January 1, 2025).

Checking Your Order Status

When your package begins its journey, we will send you an email notification containing a tracking number. This allows you to follow along as your order makes its way to you. Please allow 48 hours for the carrier to update the tracking information in their system.

If the road seems longer than expected and you have not received your order within 14 days of your shipping confirmation email, please reach out. Contact us at Info@shopOmerta.com with your name and order number. We will look into the matter immediately to ensure your story continues without disruption.

State-Specific Restrictions

Just as every leaf tells a story, every region has its own framework of laws. We deeply respect the regulations that shape our industry. Due to specific state laws, we must navigate the following restrictions to remain compliant and protect our community:

California
We require all purchasers to be over 21. Under California Senate Bill 39, we must confirm your delivery by a telephone call after 5 PM (PT) the day before shipment. We must also obtain the signature of a person 21 years of age or older upon delivery. Because of this, we cannot ship to PO Boxes or use certain shipping methods. We comply fully with the State of California UTL Bill.

Connecticut
We do not ship small cigars (weighing 3lb per 1000 or less) to Connecticut addresses.

Delaware
We must receive and store age verification documents to legally sell tobacco products to you. We partner with Veratad Age and Identity Verification Solutions to store this data securely. We also require a signature from someone 21 or older at delivery, meaning we cannot ship to Delaware PO Boxes.

Hawaii
We are currently unable to ship any products to Hawaii addresses.

Maine
We do not ship cigars with Homogenized/HTL wrappers, small cigars (weighing 3lb per 1000 or less), or pipe tobacco to Maine.

Maryland
We do not ship cigars with Homogenized/HTL wrappers or small cigars (weighing 3lb per 1000 or less) to Maryland.

Massachusetts
We do not ship any flavored tobacco products to Massachusetts addresses.

Minnesota
Retail Delivery Fee of $0.50 per sale on all orders equal to or greater than $100.

Montana
We do not ship filtered cigars to Montana.

Pennsylvania
We do not ship small cigars (weighing 4lb per 1000 or less) in carton packs containing 20 to 25 sticks to Pennsylvania.

Utah
We are currently unable to ship any products to Utah addresses.

Vermont
We do not ship small cigars (weighing 4.5lb per 1000 or less) to Vermont.

Washington
We do not ship small cigars (weighing 3lb per 1000 or less) or pipe tobacco to Washington addresses.

Colorado
Total Retail Delivery Fees of $0.27 per sale.
